When Kate was a 20-year-old college student at Baylor University, she made a list titled “Things to do before I’m 30” and taped it to her dorm room door. That list included: Running a marathon, starring in a movie, singing in an award-winning band, publishing a book, speaking a new language, owning a business, getting married, having children, and backpacking Europe. Remarkably, Kate accomplished every goal on her list.
During college, Kate sold educational books door-to-door in the summertime to pay for school. Without the use of a car, Kate finished #6 out of 4500 salespeople her first summer. She went on to become one of the top 10 salespeople in the company’s 160-year history.
While pursuing a successful career in sales, Kate was the founder, lead singer, and songwriter for the popular band Matson Belle. They were nominated for an American Music Award and won several Austin Music Awards. Their music still has a strong following on iTunes and Spotify.
After becoming a mom, Kate became a published author with her book “The Million-Dollar Parent: How To Have a Successful Career While Keeping Your Family a Top Priority.” She was also the host of the cooking show “Kate’s Kitchen with Kids,” which aired on cable for three years.
Her sales, business, and marketing background, Kate has worn many hats with THIRDHOME, both with the content marketing team and engagement with members. Other than traveling, Kate loves playing tennis, watching “Ted Lasso,” and making homemade rice crispy treats!
Diane was born in Northern New Jersey and lived in NJ and NYC most of her life until she packed up everything and relocated to Phoenix, AZ, to escape the snow. She enjoyed everything the desert had to offer, including the short drive to Vegas, California, and Mexico—along with some amazing sunsets and mountain views. However, in late 2023, the ocean began calling, and she relocated a third (and final) time to Charleston, SC, where the beach wasn’t a plane ride away. She lives with three rescued Chihuahuas and a ginger cat who showed up one day and never left. She also has one son who lives in Minneapolis. In her free time, she volunteers at a local animal shelter, draws, and explores local parks. She’s also slowly remodeling her home.
Diane started her career in Retail Management and transitioned to Client Relationship Management shortly after her son was born. She currently works supporting the THIRDHOME Club in matters of member policy. She enjoys helping members get the most out of their vacations and resolving conflicts if they arise. She’s happy to be part of the THIRDHOME team and is looking forward to finding some new and exciting destinations to travel to!
Ciara joined THIRDHOME as a Member Experience Associate in October of 2023. Previously, she worked as the Assistant Membership Manager at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, NY, for over six years. While she loved her time there, when the opportunity arose to incorporate her love for travel with work, she couldn’t pass up the chance to join the THIRDHOME team.
A life-long resident of Syracuse, Ciara is passionate about anything to do with being outdoors. On her days off, you can expect her to be strapping on spikes to her hiking boots for a winter climb, researching a trip to a National Park, sheltering from a torrential downpour on top of a high peak, or daydreaming about her next cross-country road trip. Her most daring hike so far is Angels Landing in Zion National Park.
Ciara also enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, exploring local breweries, and taking care of the many plants in her house. Ciara has been to many states across the US and has a goal of visiting every single one. Her ultimate bucket list trips are a trip to Brazil and backpacking across Europe.

Tyler, a life-long resident of upstate NY, joined THIRDHOME in May of 2023. After graduating from the University at Buffalo in 2017, he moved down to Florida, where he began his job with Disney, working within the theme parks and later with runDisney. While he loved his time there, getting the opportunity to work for a great company while also meeting some of his now closest friends from all over the world, he couldn’t stay away from NY for too long.
Tyler has always loved to travel, but over the past few years, the travel bug has hit him particularly hard. He’s always looking to go on a trip somewhere — be it domestic or international. He’s traveled to many of the National Parks (his favorite being Grand Teton in Wyoming), been up and down the west coast, road-tripped across the country, kayaked through the Grand Canyon, and experienced the beauty that is Switzerland. But his favorite trip so far was to the Dolomites in northern Italy.
He also developed a passion for landscape photography, which pushes him to explore the world even more. His ultimate bucket list trip would be an expedition to Antarctica.
