Kona Moana Hale
This beautifully restored oceanfront home has all the charm of yesteryear with the added conveniences and sustainability of today. The Guardian newspaper listed it as one of the Top Beach Houses in the World in 2014.
Completely renovated, this updated home has hardwood floors, granite countertops, koa cabinets, stainless steel appliances, iHome docking stations, Bose outdoor speakers with Bluetooth receiver (to pair your own devices and play music), iTouch pre-loaded with various Hawaiian music, wireless internet, washer/dryer, California king bedroom set, HDTV plasma in great room and bedroom, air conditioning, gas BBQ, Tiki Hut for afternoon drinks, teak lounges, etc etc. All lights are on dimmers so you can set your own environment and mood. There's even an indoor switch to light up the water at night for a spectacular view!
Ideally located overlooking Kahalu'u Beach, you are within feet of the best snorkeling and surfing on the island. (If you do surf or stand up paddleboard, you can paddle straight out and be in the break in less than 5 minutes.) Dolphin sightings are common. During winter months, whales can be seen daily as they swim by. While there is so much to do on the Big Island, you will have a difficult time pulling yourself away from your home and the incredible views.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to make you feel at home. Morning coffee (Kona of course!) on the lanai is a great way to start your day.
After a day of exploring, at the beach or simply enjoying the sights and sounds of Kona Moana Hale, a large BBQ on the deck is available for your use. Since you are west facing, sunsets are not to be missed.
Upon retiring, the sound of the waves will lull you to sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We especially enjoyed hooking our i pad up to the Bose outdoor speakers and listening to Hawaiian music and watch the sunset. We also enjoyed getting fresh fish at Bite Me and grilling on the deck. and sitting out eating. Ron had everything we needed. ”

We had an incredible stay for our 30th anniversary! The house is everything that's pictured and more! Fabulous attention to detail, peaceful, well stocked….even with local fruit for us to enjoy. It is perched on the rocks over-looking the ocean so the sound of the ocean is always in the background, and the sunsets were spectacular! Ron was really great. He made many recommendations and made us feel at home. Go see for yourself. It's lovely. Tami Garr”
