Description

The Rock

This unique mountain home located at 4,600 feet above sea level was cut into a wall of granite and features 180 degree mountain views spanning East, South and West from its hillside perch.

Enter this property and you will quickly notice the glass floor in the foyer that looks down into the walk in wine cellar and the two story glass back wall of the foyer that features an 80 foot waterfall that pours over the wall of granite behind the house into a catch basin on the back porch.

The home features two large stone fireplaces, a media room with drop down screen/projector, a glass master shower/steam that overlooks the waterfall, outdoor hot tub and large granite outdoor dining table that faces West to capture the sunsets over the Tennessee mountains. The entertainment system is wired inside and outside for your choice of music including XM, CD or Ipod docking station inputs.

There is over 1,000 acres of undeveloped land on the back of the mountain featuring an extensive trail system for hiking, off road vehicles and or horseback riding.

Fantastic Sunrises and Sunsets

The house is amazing, with a view of the entire area. There are so many windows. The owner is as great as the home, responding immediately to anything that came up. We would certainly go there again! Marci and Family”

This home and setting is just magnificent!

We just spent a fabulous week at The Rock in Banner Elk. This home and setting is just magnificent! The community of Eagle's Nest had wonderful amenities. The home was furnished beautifully. The home site was carved out of a huge rock mountainside...and features a pond, waterfall and hot tub all overlooking gorgeous mountain vistas. Downstairs is a pool table and huge movie screen. We loved this vacation and this house! ”

LOVED IT!

We wanted a winter snow family getaway with a bit of ski too & we got it here at The Rock! Lovely house! We loved the details on this house! 15 min to Sugar Mountain & Beech Mountain. Our kids had a great time because the house had a basement with pool table , chess table and area they could enjoy while inside. Great stay!”

Fall in the mountains

We had a wonderful stay. The most incredible views and a beautiful home. We are in our 70's, so some of the stairs were a bit of a problem carrying bags, etc. We would definitely recommend this home to everyone wanting peace and quiet with access to towns in the area. Thanks and hope to see you again. Ken and Claire”
