Description

Our Lake Tinaroo architecturally designed retreat has the best of modern amenities in a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy spectacular views from both indoor and outdoor living areas which flow beautifully from the expansive decks to the entertainer’s kitchen and to the games room complete with pool table. The home is constructed over two levels with extensive use of natural elements all sourced locally by bespoke craftsmen.

The house was designed with both entertaining and relaxation as the main priorities. The home was completely renovated in 2014 whilst still maintaining the historical character pieces of the home. The cosy fireplace serves as the centrepiece to the indoor living areas. The backdrop to the wet bar is framed with a full size original 1920’s Queensland Bank vault door which now acts a functioning scullery to the area. The wet bar cleverly serves the deck areas through fully retractable sliding doors bringing the outside in.

There are two separate living areas the smaller of which can be completely closed off with bi-fold doors and a fold out leather lounge for those quieter moments. The smaller area leads onto the rear balcony with access to the stone pizza oven and seating area. The larger living area includes an 8 person dining table and servery to the kitchen. With ample seating surrounding the fire place it’s the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and good company.

The designer kitchen hosts granite benchtops and top of the line European appliances including double sided Liebherr refrigerator and freezer. The area is equipped with a butlers pantry. The kitchen leads out to the fully furnished outdoor BBQ area complete with commercial dishwasher, wine and beer fridges.

The bedrooms are situated on the mezzanine level of the home, where the expansive use of glass picture frames the lake and surrounding area.

The master suite is complete with king bed enjoying floor to ceiling glass windows with views of the lake and hinterland. There is ample drawer and hanging space .The ensuite was designed with practical luxury in mind again maximizing natural elements with copper finishes and the luxury of a rain shower.

The beautifully decorated queen bedroom faces North East and enjoys the early morning sun and the afternoon refreshing breezes. This bedroom maximizes views of the tributary where Platypus can be spotted at dusk. Offering plenty of storage and only steps to the full bathroom it’s the perfect place to retire for the evening.

The functional twin bedroom has plenty of natural light and the bi-fold doors allow the guests extra privacy or not as required. This bedroom can utilise either of the full bathrooms on the upper or lower levels.

All bedrooms have automatic blinds for those extra-long lie in mornings. Air conditioning is not required in this very temperate climate of the Tablelands so each room is equipped with remote control whisper quiet fans to be used as necessary.

The games room offers a custom full size pool table with big screen TV. The sliding doors lead out to a large seated patio area again making the most of outdoor living. The games room has board games and plenty of seating for family fun! There is the added bonus of Bed-In-A-Bag bean bags throughout.

After dinner enjoy the amazing sunset disappear behind the Seven Sisters Ancient Volcanos with a glass of your favourite tipple whilst submerged in the 8 person spa.

Our home offers state of the art integrated sound system throughout the main and outdoor living areas operated by iPad. Wireless internet and smart TV’s throughout. The house can be completely closed with automated insect screened blinds.

Our Lake Tinaroo home has it all with water sports, direct lake and boat access on the property, nearby walking trails, bird watching, natural swimming holes, close access to the small historic town of Yungaburra. The Lake Tinaroo house is perfect for entertaining or for a bit of family fun. The location is serene, private, luxurious and only a one hour drive to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. The reef offers snorkleing, scuba diving, fishing and more.

Hinterland Retreat

We had a lovely time exploring the Atherton Tablelands and the many waterfalls that are on offer. Lake Tinaroo Hinterland Retreat is beautifully located to achieve this and is also an amazing architectually designed home with beautiful views over the lake. Maddie was very easy to communicate with, we enjoyed our stay. ”

Beautiful private home in the heart of the Tablelands

Spectacular open plan first floor with a large deck that could turn into a screened in sun porch at the touch of a button. This home is a birder's paradise and well appointed and maintained. Your neighbors include wallabees, gray kangaroos, tree kangaroos and platypus. We had fun biking through the avocado, banana, and tea farms and hiking in the rainforest and around nearby lakes.”

Unique and inspirational retreat!

It seems obvious that this exceptional property has been a labour of love for the owners, from concept right through to the finishing touches. The Lake Tinaroo Retreat is a strikingly impressive architectural gem and the owners have fitted the property out with everything needed to enhance the wonderful experience of staying here. We loved the bar made from a converted bank safe! Thank you for the warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyable stay!”
