The Tides property was outstanding. The house and accommodations were perfect for our group but the truly amazing part of this ThirdHome are the grounds and amenities. The pool, tiki hut, lobster filled private marina, fire pit, and docks made this property truly unique. The owners were also very gracious and accommodating our entire trip. All of the members of our group were in awe with this property and we all wished we could stay longer. We would love to go back to this fantastic property if the opportunity presented itself and I would recommend it to others without hesitation. Thanks again to Neil and Paula for allowing us to spend our New Years break at such an amazing location! ”
Nashville to Florida at The Tides
The home is very well maintained and the grounds are exceptional. The managers, Anne and Bill were available if needed. There were a few restaurants around and all were very good. We were about 35 minutes from Key West and we went down for an entire day of fun. North was Little Palm Island and that was a fabulous brunch as we traveled over in a wooden motor yacht. The only complaint was the traffic. Otherwise this was a little time in paradise.”
Best Vacation Ever!
This property is absolutely stunning and impeccably maintained. Our group of six (3 couples) was absolutely enchanted from the moment we arrived. The house is spacious, beautifully furnished and very comfortable with gorgeous views. We enjoyed leisurely mornings sipping coffee on the screened porch. Activities included bike rides, kayaking and swimming laps around the island in the lush, tropical pool. We enjoyed lunch & beverages at the Tiki Bar, followed by relaxing afternoons at our private beach and amazing sunsets. Even though The Tides feels secluded, it is a short distance and lovely drive into Key West. We enjoyed a sunset sail one evening, a jet ski tour, a tour of Hemingway's home, shopping and dining. The Tides is truly a treasure! Leigh and Tom Stiles ”
We recently celebrated our mothers 70th Birthday at the Tides and it was incredible. The house had plenty of rooms for our extended family, everyone had a bedroom of their own. The outdoor area with the Chickee Hut and the boat basin was our favorite. The swimming pool was very relaxing and actually very convenient for myself being in a wheelchair, I could roll right in and out. The caretakers were extremely helpful and readily available. The house itself was beautiful, clean and very well kept. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone with or without a large family or group. ”
Simply Fantastic Stay
Pattie and I, five of our seven children, three spouses, and two grandchildren enjoyed a fantastic week on Sugarloaf Key at the Tides. The home and property is immaculate and well appointed for stays such as ours. Separate up and downstairs living areas made an extended stay with family so easy. Six bedrooms, great kitchen, wonderful porches, beach, kid friendly pool, boat slips and Tiki hut. The managers, Bill and Anne, were incredibly attentive and showed up on a moments notice if anything was at all amis. Ann acted as concierge and arranged numerous activities and resources for us. We rented bikes, jet skiis and stand up paddle boards and basically camped on property all week. Couple of dinners in Key West about thirty minutes away and a deep sea fishing charter took us off property. The local road biking and hybrid biking routes were almost traffic free, near the water and in parks. Having jet skis allowed us to access the reef five miles out for diving and fishing. The mangrove swamps were great to explore by paddle board. Tennis was immediately next door at the owners primary vacation home. I have used 3rd home six or seven times and this was by far the most complete vacation experience on one site we have experienced. Many thanks to Ann and Bill and the owners. Carl Frischkorn”
