2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment fully equipped and centrally located in Kensington.

A great base from which to explore London - a short walk from the green spaces of Kensington Gardens and Holland Park. An equidistant walk (5-7 mins) between High Street Kensington tube and Notting Hill Gate tube stations means easy access to the whole of London.

Austen is fully equipped for a most comfortable stay with a master bedroom (queen sized bed) with ensuite shower room, and a second bedroom with twin beds (which can be converted to a king). There is a second bathroom with shower over bath. In the living room, the sofa can be converted to a bed that can be used as two singles or a king. The dining table overlooks pretty communal gardens to the rear while the front rooms overlook a row of white Georgian houses.

The apartment is fully equipped with TVs and DVD players in all the rooms (note TV in 2nd bedroom is for DVDs only), satellite TV, two high-speed internet channels, board games, books (children and adult), DVDs, fans, hairdryers, alarm clocks, iron, guide books, maps, Nespresso coffee machine, washer/dryer machine, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Externally there is access to a quiet communal garden. Instructions on access to the garden and indeed everything from local hospitals, restaurants, to how to work the appliances, heating etc is included in a comprehensive apartment manual at the property.

While the Austen is located on a small residential street, it's just a few streets away from a host of pubs, restaurants, shops and attractions.

Kensington Palace and Gardens, and neighbouring Hyde Park, are located just a 5-10 minute stroll away, as are a collection of top London shops and boutiques along High Street Kensington.

A short walk away is the Portobello Road Market, London Design Museum on High Street Kensington as well as iconic sites including Buckingham Palace, Victoria & Albert Museum, the Museum of Natural History and Science Museum. Access to the whole of London is easy on the Central Tube line from Notting Hill Gate tube (5 mins) or District and Circle line from High Street Kensington tube (5 mins).

Please note the apartment is on the 2nd floor (3rd floor American) with no elevator so please take this into consideration if you have mobility issues.

Fantastic location, charming apartment

We LOVED our stay in this quaint little 2-bed room apartment in the heart of Kensington. Owner Melissa was very helpful in her communication pre-arrival and was there to help us settle in to her apartment with tips about the neighborhood and London things-to-do. The apartment is super-centrally located and we loved walking from there to take a bus (100 yards away from bus-stop), tube (5 min walking to Notting Hill station) and of course Uber from our out door-steps. The apartment is small but well appointed and has everything we needed for our London stay. Karthik”

Perfect Home for 4 guests!

We are loving our stay here in this amazing apartment. Well furnished and full equipped, deeply cleaned, near Notting Hill Gate! Just make sure you are fine with steps, because you would have to do 2 floors steps with no elevator. For us is fine! Fantastic place in London center. We appreciated a lot Melissa's welcome!
