Description

Park House is a unique venue for a 'best of both worlds' experience. Situated in the countryside in a sleepy little village but only 10 minutes dive to the historic city of Canterbury and within easy reach of the cross channel ferries and channel tunnel too! The house itself has fantastic gardens and is open plan with contemporary and traditional twists. Your every comfort is catered for with crisp white sheets and duvets as well as white fluffy towels, bathrobes and luxury toiletries. You can also relax in the outside entertainment area which includes a small summer house and HOT TUB for star gazing! Park House is situated in the historic and pretty village of Barham in the Elham Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Barham has a village shop and popular, atmospheric village pub, The Duke of Cumberland, serving great food. Canterbury (6 miles) offers a wide range of specialist shopping, leisure facilities as well as numerous tourist attractions. Park House dates back to the mid-20th Century, the house has been extended and remodelled over recent years creating a fantastically modern and unique holiday home.

Canterbury's skyline is dominated by the stunning Cathedral, the oldest in England. But the cathedral is only part of the story; the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage Site while other ancient ruins such as the Castle are reminders of the city's history, heritage and culture.

Although Canterbury is a place steeped in history and culture it is also a modern and vibrant city. Luxury hotels, fine restaurants serving food from across the globe, pulsating nightclubs and welcoming pubs combine to give a complete experience. For those who have a yearning for retail, Canterbury's array of shop windows beckon with a kaleidoscope of colours, inviting you to sample what's on offer. Many of the high street names are here as well as a delightful range of independent retailers. The King's Mile has an atmosphere all of its own while the city's St Dunstan's, West Gate Towers and Northgate areas have a range of specialist and individual outlets.
