Private Island Wonderland
This 10-acre oasis that we call home is a private island in the heart of Lake Champlain in Vermont.
General Description of our Island:
The main house is large, with multiple buildings including restored, charming guest cottage. Stone fireplaces, pine ceilings, custom-designed stone patio, tennis court, outdoor hot tub, gourmet grill, hot tub, outdoor shower, private boathouse, and decks are just some of the reasons why the Island is truly unique and special.
Must get to island by boat. Guests options are to bring a personal boat, rent a boat on the main land, or pay an additional fee to have caretake charter a boat for the week.
The Main House and its amenities-
Master Bedroom - This spacious bedroom has a queen bed and multiple windows from which you can open the large windows and pull down the screens to sleep with nature. It also has a personal gas fireplace in it to keep the entire space extra warm for the cooler seasons. There is a separate entrance to a private patio and which features comfortable Adirondeck chairs and an outdoor hot tub; perfect for star gazing under the clear Vermont sky.
Guest Bedroom - this peaceful bedroom has pull down shades, a private wardrobe and sleeps 2.
Bedroom 3 - this spacious and charming room has 2 twin beds; perfect for children or other guests.
Bathroom 1 - this is a shared bathroom for all first floor bedrooms. Spacious sink area and shower provide all you need after a day in the mountains.
Kitchen - an open-air kitchen with 2 refrigerators, a gas stove, dishwasher and views looking out to the mountains.
Living Room - The largest room by height, this room features the largest fireplace and option to turn the comfortable couch into a sleeping area. Lush reading chairs with Tiffany-like lamps are perfect for curling up with a good book or newspaper.
Indoor Dining Area - large round wooden table which seats up to 10 with lazy susan in the center; perfect for playing a competitive game of Scrabble or enjoying great meals as a family.
Screened-in porch - perhaps one of the main highlights of the Island, this large screened-in has been the focus of many meals, art projects, games, yoga, reading and relaxing times for the family. You can enjoy the mountains and skylines of both New York and Vermont.
Outdoor grill and stone patio - constructed in 2010, this top-of-the line Weber grill will not disappoint. 4 Adirondeck chairs form a semi-circle against a custom-designed fireplace; perfect for enjoying drinks and conversation under the stars.
Laundry and Utility Room - washer and dryer, along with supply room, stocked with sports equipment, art supplies and games for convenient use.
Main House - Second Floor-
Bedroom 4 - two twin beds are nestled in a country-like space, adjacent to the full bath and shower.
Loft Space - the loft is an ideal place for kids to have a dream sleepover. Utilize the 2 twin beds and still have plenty of room for sleeping bags for up to 6 others - endless possibilities for the kids to have a blast.
Bathroom 2 - a full shower and spacious changing area with gorgeous skylight to enjoy the Vermont scenery.
Guest Cottage - sleeps 2-4-
The spectacular cottage is one of the true highlights of the Island. With 2 full rooms and a private bath with original, antique bear-claw tub provides your special guests with privacy and serenity. The view alone of the sunset from the guest cottage makes it worth the stay.
Other Island Features:
- Custom-designed marshmallow pit for fire-making and enjoying delicious s'mores, or reading peacefully against the background of boats sailing up and down the Lake.
- Outdoor boathouse - the boathouse not only is home to all water sporting equipment (canoes, kayaks, water skis, tubing) but also to a private picnic area and changing room after a nice day on the Lake.
- Outdoor shower - enjoy the refreshing change of showering against the view of the Green Mountains and breeze.
- Private clay tennis court will make you feel like you are at Wimbleldon.
This Island is one of a kind; providing views of the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks, with sunsets to take your breath away and memories of a lifetime.
20 minutes to downtown Burlington, shopping, nearby winery, world-class hiking.
PLEASE NOTE: The only way to have access to this property is through boat. You can bring your own or the caretaker can collect you on Saturday and drop off a week later at no charge. However, if you require transportation multiple times during the week, please refer to fees below.

Additional FeesPLEASE NOTE:
** Fees apply if you require transportation multiple times during the week, our power boat can be operated by our caretaker. This will require a separate $500/week fee that covers reasonable usage. Additional boating can be arranged with caretaker at reasonable rate.
