- Twenty miles northeast, San Jose del Cabo is Cabo San Lucas' sister city, a charming and romantic colonial town with the flavor of Old Mexico.
- With the area’s best surf beaches, a palm filled estuary ideal for bird watching, a sea turtle nursery and the La Laguna mountains to explore, San Jose is an ideal destination for nature and adventure lovers.
- 120 km SE of La Paz, and 64 km NE of the CSL and San Jose's International Airport off Highway #1 along the Sea of Cortez, the waters of the East Cape or "Cabo del Este" as it’s known locally, have attracted sport fishermen for many decades.
- Todos Santos – For great food visit Todos Santos where the fish is caught daily and the ranches are local meaning the ingredients are very fresh.
- El Arco – A natural rock arch off the coast of Cabo San Lucas. There is also the chance to see sea-lions when visiting the Arch.
Villa La Estancia
The residence was wonderful. It had every thing that we needed. It was very comfortable. The cleansing service was great. The grounds were immaculate. The service in the pool area was great. The staff was very friendly. Close proximity to downtown Cabo San Lucas. The only negative is that the beach was closed 6 out of the 7 days we were there due to a south swell. The waves break right on the beach. Oh well, mother nature can't be controlled, much like global warning.”
Had a great time at a very nice resort on the beach in Cabo. The condo was big, nice and had a very custom feel...you can tell it was an owners unit. Villa Estancia is centrally located and easy access to downtown Cabo or San Jose. My only comments is i would recommend not going on the time share sales. They offer some nice incentives, but it took 2 1/2 hrs and was fairly high pressure. The El Arco to the south is not as nice as Villa Estancia so it is a good thing they don't have access to VE, but you have access to their restaurants and bars. All in all, it was a nice location. We rented a car and it was nice to be able to drive to San Jose, but if you are just staying around Cabo...absolutely don't need the car. Just bite the bullet and buy the round trip from the airport...Seems cheap after paying the car insurance and taxes. Wonderful condo, wonderful place. You don't ever need to leave the area. ”
Beautiful Condo in Cabo
We would definitely stay again. The resort was beautiful, condo was spotless, and location was perfect.”
Beautiful grounds, great Resturants, and excellent service!”
Villa La Estancia
We loved Villa La Estancia, the resort is fabulous, the personnel incredible and everything clean. Great vacation, I loved Cabo! Thank you for letting us stay at your very nice and spacious condo.”
Writing this while we are still here. The property is outstanding and the view is amazing. We have stayed in many high end properties in Cabo, but definitely want to come back here. Like most places, including our own, you'll need to go to the market for various items if you wish to cook or clean, but the store is very convenient. Staff are very accommodating. We don't want to leave.”
Fun Times In Cabo
Thank you for sharing your beautiful villa at La Estancia in Cabo San Lucas. We had a fabulous time. The staff was wonderful along with the restaurants, pool and drinks. We went parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking and horseback riding on the beach. We spent our second anniversary at Lover's Beach and dinner at Lorenzio's Seafood. We had unforgettable times dancing at Cabo Wabo and hanging out at some beach bars with locals. Thanks again! Rich and Mary Mummert”
Girls' Week at Villa La Estancia
This was my 2nd trip back, this time bringing a friend, leaving our husbands at home. We had a grand time. The villa was immaculate, pool area so welcoming--we spent a lot of time sitting by the pool reading and watching the Sea of Cortez. The staff throughout the resort is excellent. We made it a point to eat in virtually every restaurant in the 3 resorts that are there together and the food was fantastic. We usually hunt out new restaurants in town but found the atmosphere and the quality of the on-site restaurants so excellent that we took advantage of all they had to offer. La Casona in Villa la Estancia was superb. I would highly recommend this resort! ”
Great Beach Getaway!
I took my sister to Villa La Estancia for her 50th birthday. We had an amazing trip. The property is wonderful. The villa is very spacious and beautifully appointed. The staff at the resort was friendly and on top of everything! The property is a short 10 min. walk to downtown Cabo but you have everything you need at the resort and would not have to leave. I would highly recommend this property and plan on going back with my family.”
So much better than we even imagined!
I can not say enough good things. The place is beautiful, a palace, and there was so much room! There is no way to describe the deck (patio). The staff was incredibly friendly and the grounds were beautiful. Thank you so much for an amazing stay! Carol and family”
This was our first time in Cabo San Lucas. The location is great, pretty close to town but yet private. Estancia is really quiet, the pools are nice and the common areas are clean and beautiful. All the staff are super friendly and the little market is a big bonus. The apartment has everything you need and they offered us to stock to fridge before our arrival which was great. Thank you! ”
2 Bedroom La Estancia
Great location on Medano Beach (only swimmable beach near downtown Cabo San Lucas). Nice furniture, pools at the resort and restaurants. Recommended if you want to be closer to town and swim in the ocean. ”
Great Week in Cabo!
Our 2 bedroom/3 bath villa was nice and the resort was great. Our villa had a nice grill out on the deck, which we used A LOT. The kitchen was great for us and we fully stocked it when we arrived. We used the little Palmita market there at the resort for a couple things. The resort had coffee for us downstairs at La Casona restaurant. We ate a dinner at El Patron restaurant and another dinner at the south american grill at Villa del Arco, which is right next door and the food was good at both. However, you really need to make a reservation at El Patron. We used the pools at all 3 resorts. The Villa del Arco pool was the most kid friendly, so we used that one the most, but the Estancia pool was nice, quite and heated! We rented a car, which turned out to be a really good idea and the valet parking was really easy to get and return the car at the resort. My wife also had a great 80-min massage at the Desert Spa, which the resort runs specials for towards the end of your stay! We definitely recommend Villa La Estancia and will probably be back.”
This was the second time we stayed at Villa La Estancia. We were in a different suite this time and as before had a great stay. Great position right on the beach and very good complex. ”
TOP SHELF ACCOMODATIONS
PREMIUM RESORT, EXCELLENT LOCATION & VIEW. EXTREMELY FRIENDLY STAFF.”
Stay at Villa Estancia
We had an absolutely lovely time at Villa La Estancia. I have been to Cabo a number of times but was unfamiliar with the property and was very delighted when we arrived. The villa was very nice and most comfortable. The grounds and pool area of the property are immaculate, the workout room and locker areas even better than hoped for. It was really nice to have the deli/mini mart right on property as well. It was much better stocked than I had thought--you can buy basic grocery needs, wine, liquor, some freshly made prepackaged items and a pharmacy. Much nicer than having to take a taxi to the grocery or Costco. One can walk to town or the Marina easily altho at night it might be better to take a taxi as it could get a little confusing and the sidewalks aren't always the best. I would highly recommend”
Perfect Place, Perfect destination, outstanding Third Home!
This was our third trip to Villa La Estanza and I must say it is the perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. The staff at Viila Estanza were fabulous. The same Employees have been there on each of our trips. They are always happy to see previous guests return and it was a real treasure to see their smiling faces. Cabo is a very special place and filled with wonderful people and where activities abound. And please do not overlook the Spa. Take a tour. It is absolutely gorgeous. The service was phenomenal. Hands down the best massage we've ever had and it was very inexpensive. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself. Stuart & Robin”
Cabo Trip and stay at Villa La Estancia was great!
Cabo is back open for business! The area got hammered by a hurricane in September but they have recovered nicely and are back in full swing! We had a fun time in Cabo last week. The 2 bedroom villa was great in every way. The villa is very nice, rooms are large, the balcony is very large, the complex was not too busy, and concierge service was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, about a 3/4 mile walk down the beach to town, with many beach restaurants along the way to choose from. You can take a $9 taxi ride into town as well. We went whale watching and saw many whales including a whale pup breaching. This is a great place for relaxation and party fun. We didn't golf but were told there are some really nice courses close by. This property and location are a nice addition to the 3rdHome program.”
Top of the line
If you are looking for a high quality and great location and quite. I highly recommend this place”
Immaculate, attractive and excellent service
Gorgeous setting, great views, lovely spotless spacious well-decorated apartments. Personnel were to a one exceptional with pleasing guests the only thought. Every meal we ate (all off property) fantastic and inexpensive by American standards. Three problems: No internet in the room and wifi availability only in lobby and parts of the pool area. A real deficit for Americans used to ready access to internet. Housekeeping every other day- daily service would be expected A Christmas week problem- not enough lounge chairs, but that is probably just at peak weeks. They tried hard to keep people from saving chairs all day and not using them. One of the nicest, newest hotels on Medano beach with a well heeled clientele.”
Villa La Estancia - October 2014
We visited Villa La Estancia in October 2014 and it was just perfect. The property was immaculate. The pools were great with an excellent view of the water! The unit was fantastic. it had two large bedrooms and a large sitting area and kitchen. The decor was neutral, but very nice. The balcony was amazing (huge) and had a full view of the Sea of Cortez, the Arch and the pool. The staff was friendly and very helpful and the food on site was good. We would definitely go back - we had a great time!”
Villa La Estancia
The condo is very nice and well equipped. The resort grounds are great and the location is close enough to downtown Cabo to walk to beachfront restaurants and bars. I felt like the resort (Villa La Estancia) was understaffed at the time I was there (end of July), but overall a nice experience. ”
First class throughout
What a wonderful place we arrived to for our 42nd Wedding Anniversary. Everything was first class including the people at the front desk, housekeeping, pool attendance, the beach and all the different restaurants offered on the premisses. Everything was much more than what we had expected and are therefore pleased to conclude that everyone who is spoiled by always have the best, this is the place to go. ”
our 5th time here
Amazing as usual, we always enjoy are trip to Estancia, staff is amazing, resort is safe and perfect for families, I highly recommend this resort. Food is 5 star!!!”
Perfect family spring break
We felt so lucky to have been able to use this beautiful property in Cabo San Lucas. The two bedroom layout was perfect for my son and myself and our two friends. We each had plenty of space, privacy and places to unwind and relax. The property is very family friendly (although no life guards at the pool). The activities manager set us up on wonderful expeditions and saved us time by pointing us in the direction of the best tours. We went whale watching, did a sunset cruise and rode ATV's in the sand dunes. The resort had all we needed, but we did have a car to explore the area. I must say that we preferred the property itself to the town of Cabo - particularly because it was spring break time and there where a whole lot of young people drinking a whole lot of tequilla. But, back at the property, we felt safe, pampered and very very well cared for. I recommend this property very highly.”
Villa La Estancia
Great villa decorated quite tastefully with a nice view of the beach and the wonderful pool! We recommend the poolside lunches and generous beach chairs for total relaxation! The Mexican Fiesta dinner and evening show next door at the sister hotel was an unbeatable deal - the food and bevs were wonderful. We would go again! Don't miss the marina and the boating tours...dolphins whales and sea lions! ”
