Sea Turtle Villa

Description

Located on Brighton Beach, at the south end of the Platinum Coast of Barbados, with direct access to the sand, and with uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea. Sea Turtle is located 2.5 miles North of Bridgetown and 3.5 miles South of Sandy Lane. Kensington Oval is walking distance and being 4.5 miles from both Holetown and St Lawrence, the beach-house is equidistant between both major retaurant and nightlife areas on the island.

At over 1.2 miles Brighton Beach is the longest on the Platinum Coast and when put together with Paradise Beach (where the prestigious Four Seasons Resort is under construction) provides almost 2 miles of uninterrupted powder soft sand. It is the largest turtle hatchery on the island and turtles are often seen laying eggs, hatching and swimming in the surrounding waters. Green Monkeys visit the property and the garden is full of humming birds.

Built in the 1960's this exclusive 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom bungalow is set in a quarter of an acre of mature gardens and underwent a full refurbishment in November 2011 (including new soft and hard furnishings throughout).

In addition to 2 en-suite bedrooms, there is a third bedroom and a sofa bed in the lobby off the main lounge. These last two share the 'family bathroom'. Though designed to sleep 6 there are beds for up to 10 guests should this be required.

In addition to the kitchen, laundry and the lobby, the living area comprises of an internal 18' x 28' lounge with giant TV, an external 30' x 12' covered dining area with seating for 8 and 15' x 30' canopied wooden sundeck with loungers and a barbeque. There is also further decking and a pool.

Being set back over 100 yards from the main road, Sea Turtle does not experience the road noise suffered by most West Coast villas and because Brighton Beach is a mainly residential beach, with no hotels or apartment blocks and only a handful of properties available for holiday rental, the beach itself is almost deserted for the majority of the day/week. The water is usually calm and clear, and swimming is safe with negligible current, and a gentle slope to the sand.

Watersports are available to the North of the beach and there is a beach bar/restaurant (Weisers) 200 yards south. The nearest supermarket is walking distance, around half a mile behind Sea Turtle, but we are not on a bus route (the nearest bus stop is at the Supermarket).

Beach Bungalow

We made a last minute decision to spend New Years Week at this charming Barbadian beach bungalow. Sitting directly on the sand the highlight of this home is the fabulous outdoor living space. We literally never left the lanai ...except to sit on lounge chairs on the beach or travel to one of the many fine dining options up and down the coast. That Barbadian people are wonderful. We conquered life in the left lane. This is not a fancy house in a fancy location, but it is clean, well appointed and directly on a very lightly used beach which was a huge plus. The house keeper Maureen was lovely Our family of 4 had a great week! ”

On the BEACH

Really enjoyed our stay at Sea Turtle Villa. It is in a rather mixed area of homes, but right on the beach and close to so many wonderful restaurants: the Cliff, Daphne's, Cin Cin by the Sea, Il Tempio, Lobster Alive and more! Wonderful manager (Karissa) took good care of us and Maureen was our wonderful housekeeper too. Also loved "Lola" the pet chicken, who laid 12 eggs under the deck! Lots of fun places in Barbados: North Point, St. Nicholas Abbey (get really nice gifts of engraved bottles of Rum from there), Cherry Tree Hill, The Crane and Sandy Hill resorts and Bridgetown! It was tons of fun and the weather was perfect! Loved having our beach right out the door. (There are gates with locks for the front door, back doors and even the fence to the beach from our house. Just extra security! But we had no problems!)”

Sea Turtle villa

We have just come back from a wonderful weeks holiday at the Sea Turtle Villa The position of the villa was amazing and had a real homely feel. The villa was kept extremely clean by the housekeeper who came in daily. Air-con in the bedrooms was very comforting in the sultry evening nights. The villa is almost key less so there are no keys to lose. The Fantastic pre arrival information pack that we were provided with was very informative. My wife and I had never been to Barbados before so the information was extremely helpful in maximizing our enjoyment during our stay. I would highly recommend this villa and certainly consider returning in the future. Thank you to everybody at the sea turtle for helping us enjoy our stay”

A Very Relaxing Week Indeed

Sea Turtle Villa is a clean, very comfortable home located on Barbados' colorful Brighton Beach just a few miles down the coast from Sandy Lane and close to Bridgetown. There is a housekeeper who comes every day. We enjoyed cooking at home quite often and eating al fresco under a spacious lanai that leads down to the ocean. The beach is broad and the water is clear and turquoise. Lovely breezes. The owner has a directory complete with listings of nearby restaurants and popular activities. All in all, a lovely week.”
