French Riviera Paradise Provenzal Villa
French Riviera Paradise Provençal Villa
Recently remodeled late 1700s French-Provençal villa on 3 acres of lush garden property with a large heated pool. The 5,380 square foot home features a grand fireplace, and it is also fully heated and air-conditioned which is rare for the South of France. The property is serviced and maintained by a French couple who live in a guardian apartment on the premises.
The villa has a lot of character and it is truly Provençal - over 90 olive trees, lavender bushes, vineyards and different fruit trees adorn its relaxing park. There is a sound system with hookups throughout the house and the garden/pool. This villa comes with fully equipped kitchen and washing and drying machines! A 7 passenger Renault Espace could be made available on request. Golf is 5 minutes away.
The entire region is extremely rich in terms of culture and history, with 3 major symphonic orchestras, Monte Carlo, Nice and Cannes all nearby. There is an abundance of great opera and theater as well as a large number of museums and 'ateliers' of painters like Picasso, Van Gogh, Mattise, etc., etc.
The villa is only 30 minutes away from the Cote de Provence route du Vine (wine route) and about 1 hour away from the Gorges of Verdon a breathtaking canyon and ideal place to stride along. Within a 1.5 hour drive you will find the beautiful Aix-in-Provence, Romanesque Arles, history loaded Avignon and many other villages,
Provence is a vast region in France and in order to truly appreciate it, you need to be the type of traveler who likes food, wine and local crafts. You should make your own itinerary – and by the way: we recommend you make it as flexible as possible because there is so much to see and do. You can't help but linger in a café more than you expected or visit a Roman ruin for a longer period of time!
