Incredible 4th of July Trip!!!

Truly couldn’t have asked for a better getaway on the Big Island. Chris was a wonderful and thoughtful host. By far one of the best THIRDHOME properties we have visited to date. Thank you, Chris, for a wonderful week at your beautiful property. ”

New Year’s Week 2017

We were lucky enough to ring in the New Year during a sunny week on the Big Island. Chris is a wonderful and thoughtful host and has a beautifully decorated comfortable home for your Kona, Hawaii stay. The ocean views from the house are relaxing and stunning! We did cook meals in the well-equipped kitchen, but also had some of the best “crabby patties” at Sun Dried – a fabulous little take out spot just up the hill. The three spacious bedrooms each with private master suites with super comfortable beds, upscale linens, en suite baths and a favorite outdoor shower. We thank Chris for the Aloha greeting including a big, beautiful fresh fruit plate, a frig full of cool refreshments and some very special wines and liquors. What a treat and special New Year spirit!! It was easy and convenient to use the kayaks, SUP and beach items left in the garage for guest use. One of our favorite afternoons was spent at the nearby City of Refuge, Chris is a wealth of knowledge on things to do – this one is a must see!! The resident roosters seemed to also enjoy the hilltop location and made sure we didn’t miss the beautiful mornings! Chris did warn us that the house doors needed to stay closed to keep out unwanted critters and we didn’t have any trouble but there were harmless little carpet critters that would surprise us and we just replaced them to the outdoors. You couldn’t ask for a more generous host and you’ll remember a relaxing stay at this private hilltop home. Thank you Chris and Patti!! ”

Hokuli'a - The Big Island

Aloha! We just returned home from a family vacation in Kona, Hawaii. Our expectations were easily surpassed once we arrived at this beautiful, exclusive home in Hokuli'a. Located on a hilltop, there are expansive views of the Pacific from every point of the tranquil backyard. With no other houses visible, you feel like you have a part of the island to yourself. The house is beautifully decorated. One master bedroom, overlooking the water, is in the main house, while the two guest rooms are located conveniently on the side. Given it was our first time on the Big Island, there was certainly a plethora of things for us to do. Volcano tours (we were lucky enough to see an active lava flow which started two months ago), tons of beaches, boating, golf and food (lot's of food). The house is in a fairly new gated community. When we mentioned to people on the island where we were staying we always got a response like, "Wow, that place is really nice." The Club at Hokuli'a, a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, is less than a 1/2 mile from the house. It's one of the nicest courses on the island. It's a private course, but the owner of the house, Chris Webster, was kind enough to make arrangements for us to play. He couldn't have been more helpful in helping us plan our trip. A couple of things to be aware of. Internet service is only strong near the master bedroom / office. It's spotty throughout the rest of the house. The house is in the middle of nature. You need to be okay with bugs, frogs and roosters! Thanks again Chris and Patti for your wonderful hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next visit. The Roth Family”
