Description

Ocean Beachfront Banyan Tree Beach House

Welcome to our elegant plantation style beachfront home in Hawaii Kai. The spacious and open house has breathtaking views of Moanalua Bay, Diamond Head and Koko Head craters. Step outside to the lanai and be shaded by a huge banyan tree, then wander the spacious lawn to one hundred feet of private beach. Watch for whales, swim in the calm waters, and enjoy spectacular sunsets over Diamond Head.

The main house has three bedrooms, each with its own bath. The master suite has a king-size koa bed, large walk-in closet and separate dressing area. A private Jacuzzi surrounded by lava rock and local plants awaits you outside the master suite. The second and third bedrooms each have full attached baths and are decorated with native Hawaiian koa furniture and lovely antiques. There is also a half-bath located off the living room for convenience. The separate garden cottage has two bedrooms and one bath, plus a kitchenette.

Walk to Koko Marina Shopping Center, where you will find Starbucks, Foodland, Radio Shack, Local Motion, fine dining, locally made gifts, and an eight-plex movie theatre. One mile further is world famous Hanauma Bay Marine Sanctuary where you can enjoy spectacular snorkeling and swimming.

Stop at the Halona Blow Hole or the Molokaii Lookout for a chance to spot whales frolicking in the sparkling waters. Catch awesome body surfing waves at Sandy Beach or hike the trail to the Makapu'u Lighthouse.

Next stop on the way to Waimanalo town is Sea Life Park for a swim with dolphins!

BEAUTIFUL PLACE!

We stayed at the Banyon Tree House and had a wonderful time! The gentleman that comes and goes over everything with you is extremely helpful and gives you all the tips and tricks for the property. The grounds are beautifully gardened with beautiful flowers and plants all around the home. The backyard is open and wonderful. The beach area is small and becomes non-existent when the tide is up, but it is a beautiful view! The water is very shallow out pretty far from the home so there isn't really snorkeling, but you are very close to a famous snorkeling place about 3 minutes up the road, Hanama Bay. The guest house has a/c which keeps it very nice. The main house doesn't but if you keep the doors open there is a very nice breeze that comes through the home. The kitchen is huge and beautiful and there are all the dishes you need for any kind of cooking. The BBQ has propane supplied which was very nice. There are no toys to play in the water with (kayaks etc) so if you want that make sure to rent them in town. The area is very quiet and lovely! We loved our stay and would go back!”

Banyan Tree Beach House

Banyan Tree Beach House is a classic Hawaiian Beach House located in Urban Honolulu only 30 minutes from the airport and adjacent to a large shopping area. The house is nicely appointed and has direct access to a rocky beach on Maunalua Bay, with excellent water for paddle boarding, but one needed foot protection to swim due to the presence of coral. We loved sitting on the lawn in the evening watching the sunset and the lights of the city. We chose Waimanalo Beach twenty minutes by car for swimming. Our only complaint was the location directly on the Kalanianaole Highway, as the noise was clearly an issue at night, and entering and exiting into heavy traffic was difficult.”

INCREDIBLE HAWAII BEACHFRONT HOME!

This home is absolutely beautiful. Private beachfront like this is rare. Best and most amazing Hawaii property. Can't wait to return.”

Best Hawaii Trip Ever

A wonderful home and beautiful setting. Very convenient to Honolulu & Waikiki but still very peaceful and relaxing. Very spacious and comfortable. Handled 3 couples with ease. Very well set up for eating and staying in at night. Beach access is a dream come true.”

Old Hawaii beach front

Raised in Hawaii, it is so amazing to find a vintage beach front home. The home is spacious, all rooms private, and the Koa wood unbelievable. The beach location is fantastic, The Tradewinds keeps the home at a comfortable temperature. You walk out to a quiet beach with limited users. You have the setting sun over Diamond Head,so imagine, ancient Hawaiian canoes paddling across Maunalua Bay. I had many guests, all raised in Hawaii, and all were taken back to the ambience of "old" Hawaii. Enjoy Greg Lau ”
