Description

Masseria Fondo Paolo is a beautiful antique stone farmhouse in Puglia, restored with original, traditional materials and preserved in its original design.

The space is elegant and airy, surrounded by enchanting gardens. There are 4 double bedrooms each with its own bathroom, one studio with a bathroom (which can also be converted into a 5th double bedroom), a simple sleek kitchen with dining area and a guest bathroom.

The swimming pool sits discreetly within the exotic landscape of Southern Italy with outdoor sitting areas for sunbathing and dining in shade or sun.

Between Otranto and Lecce, Masseria Fondo Paolo is located at the heart of the “Greek Salento”, a cultural island with its own history and traditions. Because of its mild weather, its artistic heritage, and delicious food, this region, known especially for its sandy white beaches, is the perfect destination not only in the summer, but also for an autumn, winter or spring holiday.

Reviews

Wonderful

Comfortable and lovely stay for the four of us (two couples) in this special place. Our host provided excellent driving directions and recommendations for dining and activities. She also sprang into action providing us medical assistance after an injury - SO appreciated. Puglia is a glorious region to explore and Masseria Fondo Paolo was the perfect place to return "home" to every evening. Thank you, Margherita for your kind hospitality.”

Masseria Fondo Paolo

We had a fab stay here at the beginning of October. The weather was perfect, we swam in warm sea and the beaches were empty; we cycled the countryside, walked and got to know the local town MArtano and its cobbled lanes and unassuming Baroque palaces absent tourists, and shopped for delicious Italian ingredients, mozzarella, fresh pasta... which we could take back to our beautiful home for the week and cook with the fresh produce we had picked from the estate - tomatoes, basil, peppers, aubergines, fennel, greens, lettuce and strawberries. It was a bit off season so some restaurants were closed but the beauty of going to the Salento without the crowds compensated and we found a trattoria/pizzeria in town which was just great and full of locals (always a sign of good food in my book). Paolo Fondo was clean and the design and decor very pleasing. A happy week. Just the two of us relaxing and doing our own thing (for once) but it would be perfect for a big crowd or suit two families. I would recommend and hope to go again one day ! ”
