On Monday, August 21, 2017, all of North America will be able to see an eclipse of the sun. However, particular parts of North America will be a path of totality, which means that those areas will be able to see a total solar eclipse. The last time there was a total solar eclipse visible from the United States was 38 years ago! Those in the path of totality will see the moon completely cover the sun.
