3RD HOME is comprised of a group of like-minded individuals who own luxury second homes and are interested in new travel experiences. While you may be used to reading about the phenomenal properties in our luxury home exchange program, they are only in the club because of our community of members willing to participate in a house swap for new vacation experiences. This week 3RD HOME member Adam Marcus is featured. He is a founding partner at the law firm of Marcus & Hoffman. Their primarily practice in the Philadelphia area. Adam was born in New York City but spent most of his life in the Philadelphia suburbs. He and his wife have two daughters, the oldest an early childhood educator and the youngest a student at Temple University.

 

Q: Tell us about your second home(s) in the club.

A: Our 2 homes (Cape May Luxury and Beautiful Reunion House at the Point) that we have offered to 3RD HOME members are located in Cape May Point, NJ. Cape May Point is unlike any other place along the New Jersey shoreline. It has lovely beaches, with a historic lighthouse, the Red Store with local specialties to eat. It is quiet and peaceful and a great place for families to spend time. Close to Cape May with countless wonderful restaurants, boardwalk and great shopping and short ride from Atlantic City if you’re looking for real excitement. Our two homes are essentially brand new having been renovated down to the studs from top to bottom within the last few years. They are spacious, open, light and plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to relax and spend time.

Q: What has been your most memorable 3RD HOME trip?

A: Our most memorable trip was a family trip to Costa Rica Four Seasons. Beautiful country, wonderful people – a real treat.

Q: What has been your experience hosting other 3RD HOME members?

A: We have had very positive experience hosting 3RD HOME Members. Each 3RD HOME guest has taken good care of our property and we have enjoyed hosting them.

Q: How much money do you think 3RD HOME has saved you to date?

A: Well over $30,000.

Q: What is one item that you always pack in your suitcase?

A: I always pack an extra charger (my wife never remembers hers).

Q: When traveling, do you plan your vacation activities out or go with the flow?

A: Both. We often will make dinner reservations in advance if there are restaurants we want to make sure we can get into, but we also enjoy just relaxing and making day-to-day plans as the week progresses.
