Senior Manager, Exchange,
Laura first started at THIRDHOME in October 2015 as a New Memberships Manager. After a year and a half out of the tourism industry, pursuing new skills in project management as a technical analyst, she returned to THIRDHOME in February 2018 to join the Member Experience Team as a Senior Manager.
Originally from East Tennessee, Laura attended Maryville College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. Her study abroad experience at the University of Western Sydney in Australia led her back to the land of Oz, after graduation, to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Technology, Sydney, from which she also holds a Masters of Management in Tourism Management. Laura got her start in the tourism industry as a Day Tours Reservation Consultant for Australian based tour operator AAT Kings, and after coming back home to the USA spent time as a Travel Consultant for AESU, a student tour operator based in Baltimore.
On weekday evenings, Laura’s likely to be found on her yoga mat, the YMCA, or some other fitness studio nearby. Her other loves in life include her dog (an English Bulldog/Norwegian Elkhound named Quinn), reading books for her monthly book club, creating interesting new concoctions for her monthly cocktail club, brunching with friends on the weekends, playing MasterChef in the kitchen, hiking/canoeing, and constantly seeking out fun new events and experiences in Nashville. Laura’s overseas adventures thus far have taken her to Scotland, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Honduras, Belize and South Africa. Her last trip abroad was to a THIRDHOME property in Cape Town, a travel bucket list destination that she can’t wait to visit again. Next up, Nicaragua July 2018!
